The Canon Speedlite 580EX II is an excellent flash for professional photographers (and advanced amateurs too, I suppose). I have already shot a wedding and several senior photos with it and have yet to be disappointed. Fast recycle time, endless power possibilities, and unlimited artistic uses. I upgraded from a generic flash that only worked for about 1/4 of the shots I took and regret not purchasing this unit months ago.
