This unit works well and seems to couple terrifically with my 5d. I was not as happy with the results from the first 580EX and my 20d but I don't know where the fault was.
The only little hitch is that the master-slave control was easier with the old unit. It was a simple push of a lever. Now you have to go through a menu.
