I previously used a 420 Speedlite and was quite satisfied with that. However, I felt it was time to update and figured I would spend the extra money and go for the 580EX II Speedlite. I never imagined the difference would be so significant. The quality of the photos, the speed in being able to reshoot immediately is well worth the extra money.
